a female perspective on the museum world
the museum gals
as a museum studies masters graduate, and a woman, I believe my voice is necessary in the discourse of a continually male dominated work field; this blog will be a platform to discuss many feminist theories applicable to the museum field, as well as a place to understand the inner workings of a museum from a female perspective;Â expect posts about representation, museum visits, and the like; enjoy and keep an open mind.

about me
Hannah B
I am a museum studies masters graduate, living and working in London; my undergraduate degree was in history and political studies, from Queen's University; I am originally from Canada
although I don't have a degree in feminist studies, I am myself a female, which should supplement enough insight

I am also a straight, cis-gendered woman, therefore I recognize I have a limited approach in terms of experiences; however I will try my best to give voice to those that have a varied perspective to my own
